About
Welcome to Blueberry Ridge Orchard!
We began here in 2003 when we decided to carry on the family tradition of agriculture in a new way on land that has been part of the family for generations. We purchased the farm from Andrea’s dad, Darrell Hageness, who had raised beef cattle. Originally, the farm had been owned by Andrea’s Grandparents, Palmer and Adelia Hageness, and operated as a dairy farm. We are honored to keep the farm alive with the addition of orchard crops and share this adventure with our children, Brandalyn and Coy, and grandsons, Trey and Carter.
In the spring of 2004 we planted our first 6,500 plants. Our blueberry plantings have grown to cover 25 acres with Michigan highbush blueberry plants in several varieties: Patriot, Northland, Blueray, Toro, Bluecrop, and Nelson. Blueberries are available for U-pick or can be purchased pre-picked. Our orchard has grown in other ways too as we have added plums and apples to our pre-picked produce.
Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about us and we look forward to seeing you here at the orchard.
